MEET KATE.

      Founded in 2015, kate.h.design has quickly become one of North Carolina's premier boutique interior design firms.

 

      Owner and lead designer, Kate Hutchison, is a High Point Native with strong family ties to the furniture industry.  Taking her very first steps in her grandfather's showroom, Kate's creativity and passion for design have been an inherent part of her life for as long as she can remember.  After graduating from North Carolina State University with a B.A. in Arts Applications, concentration in Visual Arts, and a minor in Design Studies, she continued her education at Meredith College where she received a B.S. in Interior Design.

 

     Kate's practical approach to design focuses on function first, resulting in environments that are beautiful and livable.  While she is extremely meticulous, the spaces she creates are light-hearted and inviting.  In her own words, "design shouldn't be taken too seriously.  You should be able to truly enjoy and relax in your surroundings."  With over ten years of experience in the business, Kate's projects seamlessly blend her fresh perspective and timeless sophistication.
